Job Description: The DevOps Engineer works to improve software development and release lifecycle efficiencies by modernizing our processes & workflows and building a robust Continuous Integration/Deployment pipeline. The DevOps Engineer will provide guidance in organizing, securing, and automating existing product development workflows and must be proficient with agile development processes and best practices. Job Description: • Work on a platform for monitoring, logging, and orchestration of docker applications running on Kubernetes • Development and implement platform components to support containers • Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations and features in business terms • Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner • Lead the App Services Engineering strategic efforts – working on all 3 layers of the stack related to infrastructure, middleware, and continuous integration and delivery frameworks • Support the implementation of new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software • Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis to address routine to moderately complex reporting issues with accuracy or performance • Define and evolve DevOps best practice by working within teams and educating the other stakeholder teams. These best practices should support traceability & auditability of change • Lead cross-functional co-located teams in design, development and implementation of enterprise scalable features related to enabling higher developer productivity, environment monitoring and self-healing, and facilitate autonomous delivery teams Role & Responsibilities: • Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs • Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities. • Setting up tools and required infrastructure • Responsible for containerization and setting up & monitoring Kubernetes clusters. • Should be strong in the Microservices and handling various aspects that revolve around the architecture of micro- services. • Strong understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry, etc. • Experience building, updating and managing Docker Images. • Experience with deploying and managing micro-services using container orchestration platforms. • Experienced in building solutions for monitoring, logging, security, and scalability of applications. • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, etc. • Build and maintain highly available systems on Kubernetes • Should be comfortable with Jenkins or AWS Code pipeline. • Capability of setting up Kubernetes Clusters in a multi- cloud / hybrid-cloud environment. • Strong understanding of the cloud-native ecosystem and the new projects coming out of the CNCF foundation. • Analysing and understanding the level of the issue and escalating the critical issues to the higher level when required. • Analyse and resolve Operating System and network related issues. • Closely working with the clients and resolving their issue on priorities. • Mentored new recruits; trained them on the firm applications and its procedures.
