Job Description: A. Job Purpose • To design and oversee the implementation of scalable and efficient ServiceNow technical solutions that meet business requirements and align with organizational goals. Key Accountabilities Strategic Activities • ServiceNow Solution Architecture: Utilize 10+ years of industry experience to design and implement scalable, high-performance ServiceNow solutions across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and APIs, while considering factors such as security, scalability, and maintainability. • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices, coding standards, and design principles. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions across ServiceNow EcoSystem Core Platform,ITSM,ITAM. • System Integration: Architect and integrate disparate systems and technologies to create seamless end-to-end solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience. Identify and mitigate integration challenges while maintaining system integrity and data consistency. This involves defining data models, workflows, integrations, and overall system architecture to optimize ITSM and ITAM processes across the ServiceNow Platform. Integrate different ServiceNow modules to ensure seamless data flow between ITAM(ITOM,HAM,SAM), CMDB (Configuration Management Database), ITSM (IT Service Management) and other integrations/external tools. • Prototyping and Proof of Concepts: Lead the development of prototypes and proof of concepts to validate architectural decisions, assess feasibility, and mitigate technical risks. Iterate on design concepts based on feedback and lessons learned from initial implementations. Advise, Design and implement IT service management (ITSM), IT operations management (ITOM), and related processes as per best practises with customizing ServiceNow configurations including custom scripts, automation tools, App Engine Studio etc to ensure solutions align with business needs. Team Management • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the architecture team and across the broader digital organization. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and proactively recommend process improvements and technology adoption to enhance the team's effectiveness and productivity. • Proactive Measures : Proactively monitor , Maintain and troubleshoot implemented solutions and environment, identify and resolve issues, and ensure optimal performance of Production and Non-Production instances. Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR. D. Skills Required for the role Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align architecture decisions with broader business objectives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex architectural issues and make data-driven decisions. Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform, including configuration, customization, scripting, ServiceNow App Engine Studio, Workflows, APIs, Integration Hub and other development tools.Experience in AI/ML/Cloud computing would be added advantage. F. Key Interfaces Internal Interfaces Leadership • Provide updates and recommendations to senior leadership on architectural decisions, project progress, and technical challenges. Product, Development & QA Teams • Collaborate with developers to ensure that the architectural design aligns with project requirements and technical feasibility. • Work closely with product managers to understand business objectives and translate them into architectural requirements. • Collaborate with QA testers / Developers to define testing strategies and ensure that the architectural design meets quality standards. IT • Coordinate with IT operations teams to ensure that the architectural design supports deployment, monitoring, and maintenance requirements. External Interfaces Vendors & Partners • Interface with third-party vendors for integration of external services, tools, or APIs into the architectural design. G. Educational and Experience Requirements Minimum Education Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum Requirement Desired Experience • 10+ years of experience in ServiceNow Development and architecture roles, with a proven track record of success in driving digital transformation initiatives. • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and ServiceNow Certified System Administrator. • Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform, including configuration, customization, scripting, ServiceNow App Engine Studio, Workflows, APIs, Integration Hub and other development tools across Core Platform,ITSM,ITAM. • Extensive Experience with ServiceNow integration tools such as REST APIs and SOAP, MID Server, webservices and other methods as well as Scripting languages such as JavaScript, Jelly, Angular JS,HTML,CSS. • Certifications in ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM, SAM, HAM) and ITIL practices. • In-depth knowledge of ITSM , ITOM, HAM, and SAM processes and best practices. Experience with IT discovery tools. • Experience with developing and customizing ServiceNow ITOM, UI / UX, ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HR, CSM, GRC, and others.
